Grade 9 Year End Trip
Gr. 9 Year-End Trip ~ May 16th – 18th, 2017
Dear Gr. 9 Parents,
It is hard to believe how quickly the school year is going! We have already started planning the grade nine year-end trip. This event is filled with experiences your child will remember for a lifetime!
With that in mind, there is a lot of planning that needs to take place and details to be taken care of. We will keep you regularly informed with information going home and also being posted on the school website.
The trip is a great opportunity for students to grow in their faith, develop team skills, deepen friendships, try new things and have fun!! Mr. Graham Langridge, students, and parent chaperones will enjoy an overnight trip to Pioneer Ranch Camp, near Rocky Mountain House. Students will challenge themselves through a wide variety of activities including trail horseback riding, wall climbing, canoeing, and team building games. The entire trip is a terrific experience and a meaningful way to wrap up the Grade 9 year.
Pioneer Ranch Camp: (staying May 16th, 17th and leaving after lunch on the 18th)
Pioneer Ranch Camp is owned and operated by Inter-Varsity Christian Fellowship, a Christian organization serving Canada’s youth and educational communities. It is located on Crimson Lake, 16 km NW of Rocky Mountain House. They will be staying in cabin-styled lodging. Each cabin will have a parent chaperone or teacher staying with 6 or 7 students. Please find attached a list of items to bring on the trip. Please keep in mind that each student is only allowed to pack one medium to large sized duffle bag (no large suitcases!). WARM sleeping bags are suggested! Although the cabins are insulated, it can still be cold at nights.
