Gr. 12 Graduation is Thursday, June 28th, 2018
Grade Twelve Graduation Ceremony & Banquet Details
It is time to prepare the details for the graduation and banquet! Please fill out the attached form and return to the office by Thursday, May 31st.
The graduation rehearsal will be Wednesday, June 27th at 2:00pm at First Christian Reformed Church (approx. 1 - 1 ½ hours). It is imperative that all students be at the rehearsal.
The graduation ceremony will be held at First Christian Reformed Church at 4:30pm. (16 McVicar St., Red Deer) The attire for the ceremony is a royal blue graduation gown, red v-stole, and a royal blue cap & tassel. Please have your son/daughter at the church by 4:00pm, so that they can be organized in their line. After the ceremony and pictures, please have your son/daughter return the gown & v-stole to the classroom they received them from.
The graduation banquet will be held in the Fellowship Hall at First CRC. The punch bowl will open immediately after the ceremony so family and friends can visit. The banquet will begin at 7:00pm. Only guests with tickets will remain after 7:00 pm.
Banquet tickets are $28.00 each, including the graduate’s. Each graduate may purchase 8 additional tickets for relatives and friends. Please fill out the ticket order form attached and return it to the office by Thursday, May 31st.
We would like to have a slideshow at the ceremony depicting your son/daughter growing up to be the graduate that they are. We need your help. We are in need of pictures of your son/daughter. 3 pictures would be best. First, a baby picture. The second one of them in their early school years. The third one of them in middle school. We already have their grade 12 picture. Emailing them would be best (firstname.lastname@example.org), but if that is not an option, please drop them off at the office with your son/daughter’s name on the back. We will scan them and return them to you.
As you know or can imagine, the preparations for graduation requires an enormous amount of time and effort. Parental help is an essential aspect of preparing for grad. We recognize that families are very busy; however; if we all participate, the amount of time required by any one person is lessened substantially. There is a great deal that needs to be done within a short amount of time. If you are available to help decorate the evening before and the morning of grad, please email Nicole Stolte (email@example.com). We need assistance for both venues. It cannot be done without you!
