Celebrating our 2020 Graduates!

💗 Yesterday, we celebrated our Gr. 12 graduates!

We are very proud of our graduates and how well they have represented Gateway Christian School through the years.  May God guide, encourage, protect & bless each one of them.  We look forward to all that God has in store for them as they embark on the next chapter in their lives! They have touched our hearts and we will miss them!

🎉 Big congratulations to Aliyah Gerlywich, Aisha Corcoran and Chenée Lehman who were recipients of the Gayle Austring Scholarships. They each were awarded $1000.00 towards their post secondary education. Congratulations ladies!

🌟 We celebrated our grads with a unique & fun experience at Canyon Ski Hill. Grads, in their gowns & hats, took a ride up the chair lift. At the top of the hill, Mrs. Tataryn presented each of them with their Gr. 12 Throughline Certificate and Carla Berger, representing Gateway Society for Christian Education, presented each grad with an inspirational graduation book God's Promises for Graduates: Class of 2020. Staff lined the hill and cheered the grads on. It was an awesome afternoon - a great way to end the school year.

These young men and women are equipped to see and live in God's story. We are so proud of each one of them and will continue to pray for them and anticipate all God has planned for them.

Celebrating our grads!

Brittnay Bennett - Justice Seeker

Brittnay, we see you as a justice seeker. You are sensitive to the suffering of others and desire to see people being treated fairly and with respect. When you notice this is not the case, you will speak up and seek to rectify the injustice in a given situation.  You seek to transform your own struggles and pain into places of hope and encouragement for others, giving those around you a glimpse of God’s kingdom.

Ty Boyce - Servant Worker

Ty, we see you as a servant worker. You look for opportunities to help others, not for your own sake, but for the people who need it. You care about friends, you want to see wrongs righted, and you are willing to chip in to make things better. You willingly put in time and effort to improve the lives of those around you. Through your actions we can see your heart, one that is modelled after Godly pursuits.

Ashley Braaksma - Servant Worker

Ashley, you are a servant worker. You humbly and joyfully serve those around you as you seek to bring joy and shalom in all you do. You make a difference in the world by seeking to bring harmony with others, serving, helping, working hard to affect change, improve situations for people, build community, and meet needs of those around you. You have an innate ability to see when something needs to be done, and then you just quietly do it with humility, not expecting recognition, simply to serve.
