Good Morning Everyone,
Hope you had a great weekend!  If you are available on Tuesday night, please consider joining us for our November School Council Meeting. School Council meetings are a great place for you to come and hear from the admin, teachers, and other parents about what is going on at our school.  You can listen quietly or come to share your thoughts - all are welcome!

Red Deer Public Schools values your opinion and wants to hear from you!
What are your hopes for your kids?
Red Deer Public School District would like to get your input using Thoughtexchange on two questions:
  1. What are your hopes for students to be successful in learning, work and life?
  2. What opportunities should students have in our schools to be successful in life?
They are looking for ideas on what characteristics and attributes our community thinks are important for students to develop and how they can achieve these through our schools.
We encourage you to participate in our community engagement initiative by telling us your thoughts, and starring other’s thoughts you feel are valuable. Our community’s input will help guide the district and our schools on the future we all want for our students.
Please CLICK HERE to participate.  The Thoughtexchange process will be open until November 30.
Sincerely, Bev Manning / Board of Trustees, Chair

🎄Gateway's Christmas Adopt-A-Family Program🎄
The Staff at Gateway Christian School, in the true spirit of Christmas, would like to invite all families to
participate in our Christmas Adopt-A-Family Program. Each classroom , Grades 1-8, will receive
information on a family that their classroom will “adopt”. This will include the age and gender of a child
in the family. For example, one classroom may receive information that there is a dad, a 12 year old boy
and a 7 year old girl. We would ask you to consider donating either money, gift cards or an age
appropriate gift for a child of a needy family in our school community . In the past we have received
Galaxy Theatre gift cards, Sobeys gift cards, etc. and unwrapped gifts. Any contribution is very much
appreciated and valued. Your child will receive information on November 30 regarding the family that
their classroom is adopting and hoping to bless with a special Christmas.
If you would like your family to be considered for this program, or if you know of
a family who you feel may be having a difficult time this Christmas and would
benefit, please contact Viki Hedlund at 403-346-5795 with the family name and
the names and ages of all of the children under 18 years of age, no later than
Wednesday, November 28th . This information is strictly confidential and not
shared with staff or students.
We value your participation in this program and every contribution is significant. We appreciate that
this time of year is difficult for many of us and if it’s not possible to contribute monetarily or tangibly, we
would remind you that your prayers have much value and far reaching impact as well. God Bless you for
your support in this endeavor.
